For years now, Giggs has flirted with the idea of coaching or management, with PVF offering the former United star the opportunity.

In a statement, PVF claimed Giggs would hold a host of wide-ranging responsibilities.

They revealed: “[Giggs] will be responsible for coaching players, training coaches and participating in building and developing PVF to become the leading youth football training centre in Vietnam, in line with famous football academies across the world.”

Later this month, PVF will welcome both Giggs and Scholes to help with the opening ceremony of their new training centre.

Giggs briefly held the reins at Man United after the sacking of David Moyes in 2014.

In his four games in charge at Old Trafford, Giggs recorded two wins, a loss and a draw.

Ever since, the Welshman has been tipped with a host of managerial jobs – including Swansea following Bob Bradley’s sacking last year.

However, Giggs recently claimed he would be intrigued in taking over at Leicester or Everton.
