Manchester United Agree To Sell Matteo Darmian To Juventus In £12m Deal, According To Reports In Italy


MANCHESTER UNITED have agreed to sell Matteo Darmian to Juventus for £12million, according to reports in Italy.

The defender is set to leave Old Trafford after making just five Premier League starts for Jose Mourinho’s side this season.

Juve have long been linked with a cut-price move to take the former Torino star back to Serie A.

And, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, a deal could now be imminent after the sides agreed a £12m fee.

It is claimed Darmian, 28, will pen a five-year contract with the Italian champions.

Mourinho is keen to revamp his squad a falling well short of bitter rivals Man City in the title race.

Full-back has been identified as a key area for improvement, with moves for Danny Rose and Alex Sandro mooted.

Mourinho has insisted that Darmian remains part of his future plans – but can leave if he wants to.

The United boss said: “When a player wants to go, if that’s the case, and when the right offers arrive, we study that because we always try to have the players happy.
