LEWIS HAMILTON is on the verge of his fourth F1 world championship after winning the US Grand Prix.
It was mathematically possible for the Brit to wrap up the title in Texas but Sebastian Vettel’s second placed finish means the Brit is set to win the title south of the border in Mexico.

How can Lewis Hamilton win the Drivers’ Championship?
For Hamilton to win the championship in Mexico, he must finish within 16 points of rival Sebastian Vettel – which would leave two races spare.
- Hamilton will become world champion if he finishes fifth or higher.
- If Vettel finishes second, Hamilton will need to finish ninth or higher.
- If Vettel finishes third or lower, Hamilton will be champion.
