LA LIGA chief Javier Tebas confirms Lionel Messi HAS signed a new contract at Barcelona.

Reports the five-time Ballon d’Or-winner had put pen-to-paper on an extension a day after his wedding were subsequently dismissed after inadvertent revelations by a string of bungling directors.

Several later claimed it had merely been “agreed” and they were still waiting for the official signature.

However, Tebas insists a new deal for the Argentina superstar is all done and dusted.

He explained: “Messi has a contract and it has been renewed.

“The contracts are official when they’re signed, not when they say they’re signed.

“And Messi has signed with Barcelona. Unless they’re lying to me, he has signed it.”
