Len Goodman is a 73-year-old TV personality who was born on April 25, 1944, in Bromley, Kent.
He was raised in Bethnal Green, London and moved to Blackfen when he was six years old.
Len began dancing at the age of 19 and competed in various competitions across the nation, claiming victory in several competitions during his late twenties.
The dancer and his partner Cherry won the British Exhibition Championships four times before Len eventually retired in the early 1970s.

Len made his name as the head judge on BBC dancing competition show, Strictly Come Dancing.
The judge became an instant favourite thanks to his cheeky one-liners and playful banter with contestants.

What is Partners In Rhyme and when is it on BBC One?
Partners In Rhyme is a brand new family teatime BBC game show.
The six-episode series started on Saturday, August 19.
The contestants on the shows will be celebrities and familiar telly faces, including Phil Tufnell, Ore Oduba and Nina Wadia.
As its title suggests, all the comedy rounds on the show are based on rhymes – and they offer a lot of "great play along" opportunities for viewers.
Who is Len Goodman married to?
Len married his longtime girlfriend Sue in 2012 in a surprise ceremony.
The couple invited 30 members of family and friends under the pretence it was a nice Sunday lunch.
Len had been dating dance teacher Sue for over a decade before he decided to propose.
