HAPPY Birthday to everyone celebrating today, and did you know you share it with these famous faces?

These celebs were born today… but are there any milestone birthdays in the bunch?

Whose birthday is it today?

Victoria Beckham, 43

Posh Spice, aka Victoria Beckham OBE, celebrates her 43rd birthday today.

The mum-of-four, married to David Beckham, recently revealed she had bagged an invite to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.

The fashion designer also ruled herself out of designing the bride-to-be’s dress, fuelling rumours over who it could be.

The diminutive beauty – who stands at 5ft 4ins – recently teamed up with retired basketball player Shaquille O’Neal, who is over 7ft tall, providing hilarious snaps of the pair.

Jennifer Garner, 46

A-lister Jennifer Garner got her big break in 2001 when she was cast in WWII film, Pearl Harbour.

She starred alongside Ben Affleck, who she later married in 2005, and the pair have three children together, two girls and one boy.

The American actress has won a Golden Globe among other awards, and been nominated for a host of others.

She is currently filming Amusement Park, scheduled for release next year.

Rooney Mara, 33

American actress Rooney Mara starred in several independent films before being cast as Lisbeth Salander in the remake of the Swedish trilogy, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in 2011.

Her role received critical acclaim and she was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance.

Since then has starred in numerous films including Trash, Her and Mary Magdalene.

Rooney, real name Patricia, is also known for her charity work, overseeing the Uweza Foundation which helps people in Nairobi, Kenya, living in poverty.

When were these legends born?

William Shakespeare’s birthday is normally celebrated on April 23, although the exact date is unknown.

The poet was baptised in Stratford-upon-Avon on April 26, 1564, leading to the assumption that he was born three days before.

He also passed away on April 23, 1616, making it a popular legend that he died on his birthday.

Legendary cosmologist Stephen Hawking, who passed away on March 14, 2018, was born in Oxford on January 8, 1942.

The Beatles’ John Lennon, who was shot dead in New York on December 8, 1980, at the age of 40, was born in Liverpool on October 9, 1940.

Who Are Meghan Markle’s Siblings? The Lowdown On Samantha Grant And Thomas Markle Jr

Published

on

MEGHAN Markle is set to marry Prince Harry on May 19 in Windsor Castle.

Everyone knows about Harry’s famous royal family, but who are Meghan’s siblings? Here’s the lowdown.

Samantha Grant appeared on Good Morning Britain to speak about Meghan’s engagement

Who are Meghan’s siblings?

Through her father’s side, Meghan has two older half-siblings – Thomas Markle Jr. and Samantha Grant.

Her parents, Thomas Markle Sr. and Doria Loyce Ragland divorced when she was six-years-old, and the siblings are from her father’s previous marriage to Roslyn Markle.

Neither parent has remarried since.

Who is Samantha Grant?

Samantha, 53, is Meghan’s oldest sibling, and has been the most opinionated out of the siblings regarding the upcoming wedding.

She lives in Florida, has three children, and has used a wheelchair since 2008, when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

In November 2016, after Meghan and Harry’s romance became public, she said: “Her behaviour is certainly not befitting of a royal family member.”

She is planning to release a book entitled The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister, and has tweeted numerous times about it, saying that it will include details of their “home life” and “photographs never seen before.”

She is said to have publicly laid into Meghan on twitter after claiming not to have received an invite.

Samantha accused the royal couple of inviting “complete strangers” to their wedding, after it was revealed 1,200 members of the public were given invitations.

But she claims “no one” from the Markle clan made the coveted guest list.

Splash News Thomas Markle Jr. lives in Oregon with his girlfriend

Who is Thomas Markle Jr.?

Thomas, 51, shared his name with Meghan’s father, who was a lighting director in Hollywood.

He was 14-years-old when Meghan was born, and lived with his father, step-mother (Doria), Samantha during Meghan’s early years.

Thomas works as a window fitter and lives in Grant’s Pass, Oregon with his partner Darlene Blout, 37, and has two sons that live nearby.

His ex-wife, Tracy Dooley has said that he struggled with alcohol issues during their 11 year marriage.

What Are Steroids, Are They Addictive, Are They Legal In The Uk, Why Do They Make You Fat And What Are They Used For?

Published

STEROIDS are anti-inflammatory medicines that can treat allergies, eczema, muscle pain, inflammatory bowel disease, and lupus.

But how do they work and what are the side effects? Here’s the lowdown.

Alamy Steroids can be taken as tablets

What are steroids and what are they used for?

Steroid tablets are an anti-inflammatory medication, which can treat a number of conditions.

They are made up of hormones normally produced by two glands above your kidneys (adrenal glands), which reduce redness and swelling.

This helps with inflammatory conditions, such as eczema, allergies such as asthma, and inflammatory bowel disease.

They also affect the immune system by reducing the body’s natural defence against illness.

Conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus are caused by the immune system wrongly attacking the body, so can be treated by steroids.

These steroids are not to be confused with anabolic steroids – the ones people use to improve performance and increase muscle mass.

Are they legal in the UK and what are their side effects?

Steroids tablets are available on prescription, and you should always follow the doctor’s instructions.

The higher the dose, the more likely you are to have side effects, and according to the NHS, these include:

Indigestion or heartburn Increased appetite (which may cause weight gain) Trouble sleeping Mood changes, such as feeling more anxious or irritable Increased risk of infections such as measles or shingles High blood sugar or diabetes Bone weakening High blood pressure Cushing’s syndrome (think skin that bruises easily, stretch marks, fat deposits on face) Eye conditions such as cataracts Mental health problems

Anabolic steroids, the type that bodybuilders use, are addictive, but anti-inflammatory steroids are not.
