Emmerdale Spoilers: Ross Barton Devastated As Debbie Dingle Abandons Him To Reunite With Joseph Tate

ROSS Barton is left devastated in Emmerdale next week when Debbie Dingle reunites with her ex-boyfriend, Joe Tate.

Already feeling vulnerable after the vicious acid attack, which has left him scarred for life, Debbie’s rejection knocks Ross, played by Mike Parr, for six.

ITV Emmerdale’s Debbie Dingle sacks off Ross Barton to rekindle her romance with Joseph Tate

He tries to cover his feelings about Debbie, actress Charley Webb, being back with Joe, but his brother Pete sees through him easily.

Pete simmers with anger to know how much Debbie has hurt Ross.

Although not everything is quite what it seems between Debbie and Joe as the scheming businessman is actually blackmailing her into being with him.

Joe, played by Ned Porteous, discovers that it was Debbie who ordered the attack on Ross and that it was actually meant for him.

ITV Although she tried to forget him, Debbie only has eyes for millionaire Joseph

He cruelly uses the opportunity to blackmail his ex into being his girlfriend.

But it doesn’t stop the locals being stunned when Debbie appears to have forgiven Joe for publicly humiliating and using her for months in a twisted bid to get revenge on his former step-mum Charity who he blames for his dad’s death.

Joe posed as Tom Waterhouse while he wooed Debbie, showering her with expensive gifts – including a house for her and her kids – before revealing his true identity and snatching his gifts away, branding her a gold-digger like her mother.

Debbie is sickened by the power Joe now has over her with his knowledge of Ross’s attack and has no choice but to go along with his demands.

ITV Charity isn’t keen on her daughter’s decision however

DECLAN Donnelly gave best pal Ant McPartlin “hugs and reassurances” during an emotional meeting before Ant headed to rehab.

It was the first time the pair had seen each other since Ant’s arrest on Sunday for drink-driving.

Dan Charity – The Sun Declan Donnelly gave Ant ‘lots of hugs’ during an emotional meeting today

A source told The Mirror: “Ant and Dec spoke on the phone but hadn’t seen each other since the car accident, so it was a very emotional meeting.

“Dec gave Ant lots of hugs and reassurances that things would be OK.

“They both have a lot of hard work ahead now.”

Declan visited Ant at the £1.6million home he has been renting since splitting from wife Lisa after Ant was charged with drink-driving.

Ant McPartlin looked sombre after he was charged today

The Geordie star stayed for around an hour before heading back to his own house nearby.

Ant allegedly smashed into two cars on the wrong side of the road while over the limit.

The 42-year-old TV host had a summons delivered at his home to appear in court next month after attending a police station to be questioned further by cops over the crash.

He spent just under 60 minutes being quizzed under caution alongside his solicitor yesterday lunchtime before being released.

Rex Features Dec will present the last two episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway alone

Four hours later Ant was sent a “postal requisition” informing him he was charged with driving with excess alcohol — and summonsing him to appear at Wimbledon magistrates’ court on April 4.

Ant’s charge followed his arrest on Sunday afternoon for allegedly failing a breathalyser test after the crash.

WHAT can’t you miss on TV tonight? Our guide to the must-see shows…

Martin Luther King by Trevor McDonald, 9pm, ITV

ITV Martin Luthur King By Trevor McDonald: One of the most absorbing documentaries you’ll ever watch Sir Trevor McDonald interviews inmates on death row in Crime and Punishment

In TV terms, he’s an icon in his own right, but Sir Trevor (right) has always been mesmerised by Martin Luther King Jr.

In this one-off documentary, Trevor travels to Alabama, where the US civil-rights activist faced violent assault, and to the hotel in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was assassinated on 4 April 1968, talking to those who knew him along the way.

Among the most fascinating facts Trevor uncovers is that the words: ‘I Have A Dream’ from his famous speech in Washington in 1963 were off the cuff. One of the most absorbing documentaries you’ll ever watch.

Big Cats About the House, 8pm, BBC Two

BBC Big Cats About the House: A heartwarming three-part documentary

Tiger expert Giles Clark is rearing five-day-old jaguar cub Maya, who was rejected by her mother at Giles’ Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent.

For her to survive, Giles must give her round-the-clock care in his own home, but things become serious when Maya’s health takes a worrying turn…

A heartwarming three-part documentary.

Not Going Out, 8.30pm, BBC One

BBC Not Going Out: Trust us when we say you’ll never look at a Furby in the same way after this

Prepare for your toes to curl as Lee Mack’s (above) comedy of errors turns excruciating.

What starts off as an awkward neighbourly accusation over a stolen soft-toy key ring soon gets way out of hand, and Lee and Lucy find themselves in a no-win situation at Toby and Anna’s house.

Trust us when we say you’ll never look at a Furby in the same way after this…

Still Game, 9.30pm, BBC One

BBC Still Game: The Clansman shouldn’t be too complacent

This Scottish sitcom’s crude yet gentle humour is an acquired taste, but if you’re a fan you’ll enjoy this week’s walking-football tournament.

Manager Isa devises a Rocky-inspired training regime to whip Winston (Paul Riley, left), Jack (Ford Kiernan, centre) and Victor (Greg Hemphill, right) into shape, and while their rivals may be the decrepit Claymore pub team, The Clansman shouldn’t be too complacent.

Seal Team, 9pm, Sky One

Sky One Seal Team: What should be a simple mission goes wrong from the start

This action-packed 13-part US drama stars Buffy The Vampire Slayer’s David Boreanaz (above) as Jason Hayes, the leader of an elite Navy SEALs military team being helped by CIA liaison officer Mandy Ellis to capture a terrorist in Libya.

But what should be a simple mission goes wrong from the start. High-octane stuff.
