A MAN tried to smuggle a haul of weapons in three separate suitcases through an airport.

When asked if he had any weapons in his bag, Djaiz said he did not.

But officials found eight knuckledusters and six batons in the cases.

Pedigree dog breeder Djaiz of Barry, South Wales, claimed the weapons were toys and for decoration.

David Pinnell, defending, said: "He is held in high regard around the world.”

Djaiz admitted importing prohibited weapons and was jailed for 20 months at Cardiff crown court.
