A DAUGHTER, repeatedly abused by her father as a child has described him as a “scumbag” as he was finally brought to justice.

Kira Bielby, 19, was targeted by twisted Reece Young between the ages of six and nine, but the driving instructor denied any wrongdoing.

A jury was unable to reach verdicts on her allegations last year, although he was jailed for six years after being convicted of other sex offences.

Young has now had another eight years added to that sentence after he was convicted of three offences against his daughter on Monday after a retrial at Hull Crown Court.

She has now waived her right to anonymity in order to encourage other victims of sexual abuse to come forward.

She said: “He’s a scumbag, I hate him.

“I would say don't be afraid of anything, of people not believing you. You always have to come out, no matter what it is; there is always someone out there who will believe you.

"It doesn't matter who did it, you can't be afraid to speak out."

Kira, from Hull, East Yorks, did not feel able to report the abuse until she was 14, and described her five-year wait for justice as "awful", although she courageously declined to give evidence behind screens so she could face her father in court.

She said: "I used to be scared of him and I wanted to prove to him I'm not scared any more and he didn't have any authority over me any more.

“It's not something I'm ashamed of any more.

“I lived with it knowing it was wrong for four years but didn't get the courage to tell anyone."

She added: "I'm glad it's getting out because people need to know and need to recognise him.”

The court heard the father-of-four would lure his youngest daughter into the bathroom on the "pre-text" of giving her a bath or shower, and would then abuse her.

She was so traumatised she suffered nightmares and sleep-walked for years afterwards. She would even put a chair up against her bedroom door so her father could not get in.

Elliott, who runs Olivia’s La Cala bar in the Spanish resort, is married to Acourt’s cousin Sadie Stuart, The Sun on Sunday can reveal.

Elliott is also the cousin of TV presenter and ex-Towie star Mark Wright.

Sources say Acourt has been at Elliott’s bar, though there is no suggestion the 38-year-old has helped harbour him.

One added: “Acourt is enjoying the very lively nightlife. He rears his head every once in a while even though he knows cops are looking for him.

THE Brexit wreckers in the House of Lords have started to inflict significant defeats on the Government this week.

They plan to send back to the Commons a raft of amendments to the EU Withdrawal Bill which are designed to subvert Brexit, or even stop it altogether.

Pro-EU Lords are throwing a spanner in the works for Brexit planssd Pro-EU Lords are throwing a spanner in the works for Brexit plans

Of course, the Lords — like much of the British Establishment — are completely out of touch.

Probably 80 per cent of peers or more voted Remain, including the ex-EU commissioners and former civil servants and diplomats who sold Britain down the EU river in the first place.

They forget.

Parliament voted overwhelmingly to have the referendum. The people voted Leave in the largest single democratic vote ever held in our country.

Parliament voted overwhelmingly to invoke Article 50, which implemented the final decision to leave.

More than 80 per cent of voters at the last election backed parties who said they now supported Leave.

The Lords are entitled to challenge the Commons to think again on any piece of legislation, but this is beyond that.

This bill is there merely to translate EU law into British law, so that there is continuity when we leave. It is not about whether or how we leave the EU.

It is not about what sort of deal the Government makes with the EU.

Whatever the deal, we are still leaving. But they don’t like that.

Bernard Jenkin says the Lords must respect the people's voteGetty – Contributor Bernard Jenkin says the Lords must respect the people's vote

So they voted to try to keep the UK inside the EU “customs union”, when the Cabinet has decided the UK will leave it.

Leaving is the only way to deliver the referendum result: To take back control over our laws, and to be free to do meaningful trade deals with the rest of the world.

The EU loves this Lords amendment, because it would keep UK law in lock-step with the EU.

The people did not vote for Brexit in name only.

One more realistic former EU Commissioner, Lord Hill, was right when he told the House of Lords: “If, as I believe, we will have to choose, we must surely place a greater priority on being able to shape our own future than on preserving the status quo”.

Brexit centres on leaving the European UnionAlamy Brexit centres on leaving the European Union

Unlike him, however, most Lords also plan to stop the UK leaving the EU if they don’t like the withdrawal agreement.

The Government has already promised that Parliament will get to make the final decision about the withdrawal agreement in a separate act of Parliament, but these Lords want a whole new clause to let the Remainers in Parliament take control of the negotiations away from ministers.

They want to get rid of the “exit date” from the bill, so the EU will be allowed to string out the negotiations beyond March next year and indefinitely.

They say this is in the name of Parliamentary sovereignty, when in reality they want the EU to carry on dictating our laws, not Parliament.

Leader... Theresa May intends to deliver BrexitGetty – Pool Leader… Theresa May intends to deliver Brexit

It is Theresa May who wants to restore Parliament’s sovereignty.

But what the Lords want matters less. What really matters is what the Commons decides.

We know that Labour, the Lib Dems and the SNP will always vote to defeat the Government on Brexit.

But the MPs who have the life-or-death decision over Brexit — and the future of Theresa May’s government — are those same dozen or so Conservative MPs who helped Corbyn and Co to defeat the Government in the Commons in December.

These are my colleagues. They have profound disagreements about Europe, but many are good friends.

I don’t envy their discomfort.

SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon is vocally anti-BrexitPA:Press Association SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon is vocally anti-Brexit

They have their principles and everyone respects that. I only voted against David Cameron’s government, when he was still against having a referendum, or trying to scrap the referendum rules to give the British people their fair say on the EU.

The people have now spoken. The people voted Leave. No ifs or buts.

If my friends now vote to wreck Mrs May’s EU Withdrawal Bill, they will be pitting Parliament AGAINST the people.

At least 400 constituencies voted Leave in the referendum — a bigger majority than Tony Blair ever had. Parliament voted to give them that choice.

TERROR cops are said to have identified a Russian assassin believed to be linked to the Salisbury poison attacks which rocked Britain.

New reports claim he is a "ruthless" martial arts specialist who goes by the English sounding codename 'Gordon' and often poses as a businessman involved in the security industry.

The Sunday People reports the man  -now feared to have fled back to his homeland  – is  uses the cover name Mihails Savickis as well as two other aliases.

Those probing the toxin attack on double agent Sergei Skripal, 66, and his daughter Yulia, 33, are now said to believe a team of six were responsible.

Gordon’s identity apparently emerged during nearly five hours of questioning by police in London this week of KGB defector Boris Karpichkov – who has said he is also on a hitlist.

Karpichkov, 59, told the People they knew each other from his days in the FSB – which is the KGB’s successor.

“He was a very intelligent, educated, ambitious and ruthless person,” Karpichkov said. “He was handsome and personable and was quickly able to win a stranger’s trust.”

Boris said Gordon was trained in martial arts and specialised in the Brazilian style ju jitsu who also went to Latvia’s State University in Riga and gained a law degree.

He is reportedly on a list of "reserve" FSB officers who can be called upon to carry out hits and he reportedly shot an organised crime boss in the 1990s.

Those probing the high-profile poison attack are now reportedly building a case against the hit squad.

Yesterday it was reported there had been told there has been a major breakthrough in identifying the key people wanted in connection with the nerve agent attack.

The paper reported a trawl of passenger lists from flights in and out of the UK has highlighted "specific names" believed connected to the botched hit.

CCTV footage in Salisbury is also said to have aided the new breakthrough which comes as tensions between the UK and Russia reach a new low.

The authorities now believe retired colonel Skripal and Yulia were targeted at his home by a Kremlin-backed hit squad.

Government scientists think a small amount of the deadly Novichok substance was used in liquid form to target the former agent, 66, and his daughter Yulia, 33.

Work is beginning to decontaminate nine locations across the city where experts think the substance could still be present.

Officials from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs updated residents on the clean-up process on Thursday.

The ex-KGB spy and his daughter Yulia, 33, were exposed to a nerve agent and fell gravely ill while out in Salisbury on Sunday, March 5.
