If you’re on a budget, Iceland does a range of party food with prices starting at £1 for 10 duck spring rolls, 16 vegetable spring rolls, 30 cocktail sausages, 12 mozzarella sticks or 16 chicken goujons.
You can even pick up an 100-piece Indian platter for a fiver.
While Tesco is selling a 24-person platter for a tenner, and a 36-person platter for £16.
Waitrose Waitrose is the king of the canapes, but you have to order your platters five to six days in advance
When it comes to canapes, Waitrose is the king of the crop – but they’re more expensive, with prices starting at £8 for a pizza sharer.
Their range of platters include breaded king prawns, vol-au-vents, filo tartlets, oriental selections, smoked salmon blinis and lobster thermidor.
Or pick up mini versions of pork and chorizo burgers, toad in the hole and Yorkshire puddings.

How can I jazz up my Christmas outfit?
When it comes to your Christmas party outfit – sparkly dresses, floaty skirts and green velvet dresses are all trending on Pinterest’s Christmas party wishlist.
If you don’t want to go full glitter, why not pair a gold sparkly top with a black jacket, nude heels and trousers?
Or accessorize with statement earrings and a glitter clutch bag.
If you’re after an outfit, Asos, M&S, Missguided and Boohoo all have huge Christmas party ranges.
What are the best Christmas party games?
When it comes to the party entertainment, why not hire a karaoke machine or photo booth?
Both options are on the pricier side – but you can do a DIY photo booth by buying props, and letting people snap pics on their phones.
Amazon sells a whole range of photo booth props, with prices starting at £2.12.
If you’re throwing a bash at home, charades is a Christmas classic.
While Pictionary, Articulate and scavenger hunts for the family are all firm favourites.
