ATLETICO MADRID captain Gabi has urged his team to get through the Champions League — because the Europa League is a "piece of s***".
The La Liga giants are on the verge of being knocked out of Europe's biggest club with just three points so far and Chelsea and Roma sitting on eight.

But Gabi is less than impressed with Atletico's form and is in no way excited by the prospect of dropping down to the Europa League.
Gabi told reporters: "Today I would say it [the Europa League] is a piece of s***.
"But the Europa League has given me a lot, and if we have to play it, we will [play to] win it.
"I think that now the chances of [qualifying] are very remote.

"We are disappointed, we have to be self-critical because we have not been able to win any of the two matches at Qarabag."
Diego Simeone's men dropped points at home in their 1-1 draw with Qarabag last night.

And with just two fixtures remaining, it will be tough for Atletico to make it through to the knockout stages.
Gabi was asked about the prospect of Chelsea striker Diego Costa arriving in January to help out in attack.
